On the other hand, how people present is such a huge part in how we perceive them, and if gender occupies such an important space in your life as a trans* person isn’t it kind of hard NOT to notice it when you see traits common among trans* folk? I think how you go about it is important. Obviously you should NEVER identify for a person or out them – if they mention it first, fine, but otherwise leave your observations at the door.
